The Senior "Classics" is a ministry which is open for anyone in The Worship Center who is age 55 or older. The Director is Charlotte Howard who is a member of The Worship Center also works in the Church Office as Business Administrator.
The theme verse for this ministry is:
"So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." Psalm 90:12
The Senior "Classics" was formed is to provide a monthly fellowship and/or ministry outreach. Examples of fellowships have been:
Valentine's Day luncheon, Thanksgiving Banquet, Christmas breakfast at a local restaurant, day trips to Washington, D. C. for cherry blossom lunch cruise, and Baltimore, Md. for tour of the Inner Harbor and Aquarium, and other times of fellowship.
Examples of ministry outreach have been:
Assisted with Church dinners (shopped, prepared food, served and did cleanup), stuffed hundreds of Easter eggs for Church outreach, cleaned and reorganized kitchen at the church, washed windows and did other cleaning projects at the church, provided refreshments after a church movie night, conducted quarterly church services at a local nursing home/rehab center in Leesburg, made HOPE bracelets for children in S. Africa, provided Christmas stockings for underprivileged children and many other outreaches.
