These themes tie the ministries of the Minor Prophets together. Underlying their messages is God’s just and merciful nature. These studies highlight key issues addressed by the Minor Prophets.
Everyone has priorities and values. The question for Christians is, What are followers of Christ to make their priorities and values? Answering this question is what you will explore in this unit.
Teachers: Mark and Dondie McNickel
Does something deep in your heart long to break free from status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? The God of the universe love us with a radical, unconditional, self–sacrificing love. And what is our response? We go to church, sing songs and try not to cuss. God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. The answer to religious complacency is not working harder at a list of do’s and don’ts. It is falling in love with God. And once you encounter His love, you will never be the same.
This class will use Francis Chan’s book to learn what a Christian life is and guide us toward an uncommon intimacy with Jesus.
Teachers: Abi Adigun and Barbara Wilhelm
This class will continue with the theme of prayer and see how it was central to the “dynamo” of the early church. It is amazing to see the unity, power and effectiveness of the early church in spite of the persecution (from within and without) and diaspora.
